A soldier in the 699th Battalion of the “Fire Edge” (551) Brigade, 25 years old at the
time of his death.
Son of Hanna and Gadi, and brother to Guy, Rotem, Yael, and Rozi.
Born and raised in Herzliya.
On October 7, 2023, Gal was called up for reserve duty and served as an infantry
soldier.
Gal was a warm, attentive person, loved by everyone around him. In everything he
did, he gave his all — always to the fullest, always with heart and dedication.
From a young age, he fell in love with triathlon — especially the sea and cycling.
The sea was his place of training and inner peace, and the bicycle was part of who he
was.
During his military service, he discovered a new passion that captured his heart —
medicine.
He found deep fulfillment in helping others, and his comrades described him as one
of the best in his unit in that field.
Gal’s father, former minister Gadi Eisenkot, eulogized him with these words:
“Excellence was your way of life — in your studies, in triathlon, in the Scouts, and
again in your academic work.
I promise you that we will do everything to be worthy of you — for the sake of those
who sacrificed, for your fellow soldiers, and for the entire people of Israel, who
embrace us in this difficult hour.”
